ADA Sidewalk Improvements in Mississippi County

Various state routes will be reduced to one lane with a 10-foot width restriction as contractor crews improve sidewalks in Charleston, Missouri. This project is part of the Missouri Department of Transportation’s initiative to bring roadway facilities into compliance with the current standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Contractor crews will improve sidewalks in the following locations:

  • Route 62 in Mississippi County from Route N to Route UU.
  • Route 105 in Mississippi County from Interstate 57 to Route 62.
  • Route N in Mississippi County from Route 62 to County Road 220.
  • Route UU in Mississippi County from Route 62 to Shelby Street.

     Weather permitting, work will take place Monday, May 3 through Friday, July 2 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

       The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
