Update on Route O Progress in Warren County

Road remains closed to through traffic

HANNIBAL - Due to a deteriorating road surface, Route O in Warren County, between Route M south to Missouri Route 47 at Marthasville, remains closed to through traffic until further notice.  “The crew has made good progress in performing the temporary repairs on Route O and are now working on the south end of Route O closer to MO 47,” said Missouri Department of Transportation Assistant District Engineer Kevin James.

“For our crews’ safety, drivers’ safety, and to help keep the integrity of the road as it exists, it is imperative all drivers obey the 35 mile-per-hour speed limit,” James said.

“Loose Gravel” and “Rough Road” signs have been installed along the 10-mile stretch of road.  There are also several “35 mph Speed Limit” signs posted and barricade board signs which read "Road Closed Local Traffic Only" at each end of Route O.
