St. Louis Work Zones for April 15 - 21

I-270 at West Florissant closes this weekend

ST. LOUIS – Drivers who plan to travel I-270 in north St. Louis County should use alternative routes this weekend as crews will completely close both directions of I-270 to remove the West Florissant Avenue bridge.

Crews will start closing lanes in both directions of I-270 at 7 p.m. Friday, April 16, with all lanes being closed by 9 p.m. for the bridge demolition. I-270 is scheduled to reopen by 5 a.m. Monday, April 19. Detour routes for the closure will be marked.

West Florissant Avenue will be closed over I-270 for four months. The new West Florissant Avenue bridge over I-270 will open to traffic in August 2021.

Motorists should be aware of the following on-going closures:

  • I-64, St. Louis City, three lanes closed eastbound across the Mississippi River at the Poplar Street Bridge until October.
  • I-64, St. Louis City, Ewing bridge over the interstate is closed until late July.
  • I-64, St. Louis City, one right lane closed eastbound between Compton and Ewing until late July.
  • I-44, St. Louis County, one lane closed westbound between I-270 and Bowles through early 2022.
  • I-44, St. Louis County, one eastbound lane closed at I-270 until mid-May.
  • I-270, St. Louis County, eastbound I-270 off-ramp to Washington Street/Elizabeth Avenue closed until mid-2021.
  • I-270, St. Louis County, eastbound Dunn Road at Washington/Elizabeth closed until fall.
  • I-270, St. Louis County, northbound and southbound West Florissant over I-270 closed until August.
  • Route 67, St. Louis County, northbound ramp to westbound I-270 closed till mid-2022.

  • Route F, St. Charles County, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., one lane closed in each direction from Route D to Route 94. Flaggers will direct traffic through the closures.
  • I-44, Franklin County, 6 p.m. to 7 a.m., one lane closed westbound from Route 100 to Route 30.
  • Route 50, Franklin County, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., one lane closed eastbound and westbound from Old Route 50 to Denmark. Flaggers will direct traffic through the closure.
  • Route FF, Jefferson County, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., flaggers will direct traffic from Route F to Route W.
