Closure extended for ramps on U.S. Route 36 at 8th and 9th streets

St. Joseph, Mo. – The closure of the ramp from 8th and 9th streets to westbound U.S. Route 36 has been extended for another week. The ramp work that is part of an ongoing construction project to repair and resurface U.S. Route 36 between the Missouri River and 0.75 miles east of Route AC, which is being led by contractors from Magruder Paving, LLC.

The ramp will remain closed around-the-clock through Friday, April 23. Motorists must use an alternate route during the closure.

All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change. Please remember that all work zones are NO PHONE zones. Buckle up. Phone down. Arrive alive. Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention to all roadway signing and barricades.
