Clark County Recognized for Zero Fatalities in 2020

MACON – On Tuesday, April 6, at 10:00 a.m. during the county commissioners’ meeting at the Clark County Courthouse, Clark County was recognized for having zero fatalities in 2020. Clark County is one of three counties in the northeast region to accomplish this. Knox County and Audrain County are the other two with zero fatalities in 2020.

Cpl. Justin Dunn, with the Missouri State Highway Patrol, and a representative of the Northeast Coalition for Roadway Safety, presented the commissioners and sheriff a poster, along with some Coke Zero and Lifesavers, as a small token of the work taken by everyone to help save lives and get the message out about roadway safety. For safety reasons, the presentation was held outside.

“We are proud of what Clark County has accomplished and hope to be back again next year in this county and others,” Cpl. Dunn said.
