Road closures for paving work scheduled as part of Blue Ridge Blvd. over Route 78 bridge work

JACKSON COUNTY – MoDOT Kansas City will CLOSE several roads surrounding the bridge replacement project at Blue Ridge Blvd. and MO Route 78 for pavement work beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday, April 12 until approximately Monday, April 26. These closures include:

  • Manning Ave. just north of MO Route 78
  • 22nd Terrace between Manning Ave. and Blue Ridge Blvd.
  • Blue Ridge Blvd. just north of 22nd Terrace.

Residents of Blue Ridge Blvd. will have access to their driveways and Red Dot Storage will also have constant access with the exception of 24 hour period for paving work scheduled to begin on approximately Monday, April 19. Details regarding time of the work will be determined and announced soon. All work is weather permitting.

This work is all part of the Blue Ridge Blvd. bridge replacement project over MO Route 78. This bridge is included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
