Replacement Project Approved for Crawford County Bridge

CRAWFORD COUNTY - Replacement of the Crawford County Route C bridge over the Little Bourbeuse River, located west of Bourbon, has been approved by the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission (MHTC).

During its meeting on Wednesday, the MHTC awarded the project to Gershenson Construction Co., Inc, which submitted the low bid of $677,273.10.

The project consists of replacing the existing bridge with a new structure. Route C will be closed to traffic for up to three months while the work takes place.

Motorists will need to use alternate routes during the bridge’s construction. Prior to work starting, MoDOT will alert the public about the project and detour routes through signs, news releases and social media.

The project is expected to begin this spring and be completed by December 2021.
