McDonald County – Drivers can expect lane closures and occasional traffic delays on a four-mile stretch of I-49 in McDonald County for a resurfacing project beginning the week of April 12, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
Contractor crews will work during daytime hours to resurface I-49 between McDonald County Route EE and Goodin Hollow Road in Pineville. Crews will also resurface interchange ramps at routes EE and H. In addition to a new driving surface, the highway will receive edge line rumble strips and new guardrail in areas.
Traffic Impacts:
- I-49 traffic reduced to one lane where crews are working
- Drivers should obey flaggers guiding motorists through the work zone
- Drivers should use caution when traveling through the work zone and watch for crews and equipment working close to traffic
- Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching the work zone
- Drivers are urged to find alternate routes around the work zone
Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.
