U.S. Route 36 ramp at 8th and 9th streets to close next week

St. Joseph, Mo. – Contractors working with the Missouri Department of Transportation plan to close the ramp from 8th and 9th streets to westbound U.S. Route 36 for two weeks as part of an ongoing construction project to repair and resurface U.S. Route 36 between the Missouri River and 0.75 miles east of Route AC.

The ramp will be closed around-the-clock from Monday, April 5 through Friday, April 16. Motorists must use an alternate route during the closure.

All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change. Please remember that all work zones are NO PHONE zones. Buckle up. Phone down. Arrive alive. Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention to all roadway signing and barricades.
