MO Route H will close at Pink Hill Rd. beginning April 6

JACKSON COUNTY – MoDOT Kansas City will be making sight distance improvements at the intersection of MO Route H and Pink Hill in Oak Grove beginning on Tuesday, April 6. This work will require the total closure of MO Route H at Pink Hill Rd. until approximately early July. During Phase 1 of construction, the closure will be just south of the Pink Hill Rd. intersection. Traffic will be able to get to Pink Hill Rd. and Renick Rd. from the north. More details about additional construction phases will be announced as the project progresses.

There will be a signed detour. Motorists headed northbound on MO Route H will take Route BB (Buckner Tarsney Rd.) north to Route FF (Truman Rd.) and head east to reach MO Route H. Motorists headed southbound on MO Route H will take westbound Route FF and then head southbound on Route BB to access MO Route H. Local traffic will have access to their driveway entrances. All work is weather permitting.

Please be patient and considerate to your fellow motorists. Use the zipper merge and take turns at merge points.  Please remember that all work zones are NO PHONE ZONES. Buckle up. Phone down. Arrive Alive. For potential impacts to traffic, please review KC Scout cameras at http://www.kcscout.net or consult our real-time traffic partner, WAZE.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
