HANNIBAL – Missouri Route 3 in Randolph County will remained closed until further notice between U.S. Route 24 and Route BB in Randolph County due to a slide that is impacting the road. Detour signs will soon be installed to direct drivers from U.S. Route 24 to Business Route 63 to Route A to Route BB.
The closure will remain in place until the slope has stabilized, necessary repairs have been made, and the area is deemed safe to travel. Drivers who move the barricades and drive in the area could cause further damage. “Rain continues to be a factor since it is spring, and we will continue to monitor the condition of the area,” said Missouri Department of Transportation Area Engineer Brian Untiedt.
