St. Joseph, Mo – Utility work will narrow Andrew County Route 48 just east of U.S. Route 71 starting this week. PAR Electric will close the westbound lane of Route 48 approximately 0.5 miles east of U.S. Route 71 to replace utility poles beginning today, Monday, March 29, and continuing through Friday, April 9. The road will be narrowed for approximately 0.25 miles from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, Monday through Saturday.
Drivers should stay alert and obey all traffic signs, barricades and flaggers to safely navigate through the work zone.
All work is weather-permitting and schedules are subject to change. Please remember that all work zones are NO PHONE zones. Buckle up. Phone down. Arrive Alive. Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones and to not move or drive around barricades.
