COLUMBIA – Drivers are being asked to watch for Missouri Department of Transportation crews on U.S. Route 63 near the Interstate 70 connector Sunday night and early Monday morning as they repair and install signs along the roadway.
For the safety of travelers and crews working along the road, this work will require the closure of northbound Route 63 and the northbound exit ramp from Route 63 to the Interstate 70 connector.
The northbound lanes of Route 63 will be closed from 9 p.m. until Midnight. During that time, northbound traffic will be detoured through the Interstate 70 connector. The northbound exit ramp to the connector will be closed from Midnight until 3 a.m. Those wanting to access Interstate 70 will need to use an alternate route.
Message boards ahead of the work zones will warn motorists of the closures. MoDOT appreciates the patience of travelers while the work takes place.
Work is weather permitting and could be delayed. For more information about this project or other transportation-related matters, please call 1-888-ASK-MoDOT (275-6636) or visit www.modot.org/central. Follow the MoDOT Central Missouri District on Facebook or Twitter for project updates.
