JACKSON AND CLAY COUNTIES – MoDOT Kansas City will be conducting signage work along portions of both westbound I-670 and southbound I-29 that will require various lane closures in the areas. The work will be overnight on both Monday, March 22, and Tuesday, March 23. Motorists should expect delays in the area. All work is weather permitting.
Monday, March 22
- Crews will close one lane of westbound I-670 at the I-35 overpass for signage work beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 22, until approximately 6 a.m. the following morning. The closure is not anticipated to last the full duration of the evening.
- Crews will close one lane of westbound I-670 at the Summit St. overpass for signage work beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 22, until approximately 6 a.m. the following morning. The closure is not anticipated to last the full duration of the evening.
Tuesday, March 23
- Crews will close two lanes of westbound I-670 at the Gennessee St. exit for signage work beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 23, until approximately 6 a.m. the following morning. The closure is not anticipated to last the full duration of the evening.
- Crews will close one lane of southbound I-29 at N. Oak Trafficway for signage work beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 23, until approximately 6 a.m. the following morning. The closure is not anticipated to last the full duration of the evening.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
