TRAFFIC ALERT: Barry Co. FR 2140 CLOSED West of Route 37 Beginning Tuesday, March 23

Where: Barry County Farm Road 2140 west of Missouri Route 37 south of Butterfield

When: 8 a.m., Tuesday, March 23 for up to two weeks

What: Both lanes of Farm Road 2140 CLOSED for up to two weeks west of Route 37 to allow contractor crews to widen Route 37 and add center turn lane. The work is part of a larger project to make roadway improvements along Missouri Route 37 between Monett and the Missouri/Arkansas state line. When this work is completed, contractor will move to Farm Road 2140 on the east side of Route 37 to do similar work.

Traffic Impacts:

  • Both lanes of Farm Road 2140 CLOSED west of Route 37
  • Drivers will have access to driveways and field entrances on Farm Road 2140 but will have no access to Route 37 from the west
  • No signed detour
  • Signs and message boards will alert drivers to the work zone
  • Drivers should find alternate route

Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.
