JOHNSON COUNTY –Route 131 will be closed to traffic from Route OO to Route U, beginning March 29 while crews widen the highway’s shoulder.
This will be the first of three closures on Route 131 to complete the grading and shoulder widening. There will be a signed detour on Route OO and Route HH for motorists to follow.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
