JACKSON COUNTY– MoDOT Kansas City will be conducting signage work along portions of southbound Interstate 435 that will require various lane and ramp closures in the area. The work will be overnight on Thursday, March 11, until approximately Friday morning, March 12. Motorists should expect delays in the area. All work is weather permitting.
Monday, March 15
- Crews will close two lanes of northbound I-435 just west of Route C and just east of NW Cookingham Dr. for signage work beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 15, until 6 a.m. the following morning.
- Crews will close the southbound I-435 ramp to MO Route 45 for signage work beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 15, until 6 a.m. the following morning.
Tuesday, March 16
- Crews will close the ramp from southbound I-435 to N. Woodland Ave. for signage work beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 16, until 6 a.m. the following morning.
- Crews will close one lane of southbound I-435 as well as the exit to the MO Route 291 exit beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 16, until 6 a.m. the following morning.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
