What: Missouri Route 76 (76 Country Boulevard) to southbound U.S. Route 65 ramp CLOSED in Branson
When: Beginning Thursday, March 18 until late July - RESCHEDULED to begin Monday, March 22 due to wet conditions
Why: Contractor crews will remove bad concrete and resurface the Route 65 southbound bridge as well as make safety improvements to the bridge rail and upgrade the guardrail on each end of the bridge. The Route 65 on ramp closure is for safety reasons.
Traffic Impacts:
- Missouri Route 76/76 Country Boulevard to southbound U.S. Route 65 ramp closed for safety reasons
- Route 65 southbound left lane closed across the bridge over Lake Taneycomo until complete. Then, crews will close the Route 65 southbound right lane across the bridge over Lake Taneycomo.
- One lane of southbound Route 65 will remain open with a 15-foot width restriction
- Drivers will be directed to a signed detour using Route 76, northbound Route 65, Route 248 and southbound Route 65
- Crews and equipment close to traffic in areas
- Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching the work zone
(Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule)
Project information:
- Remove the bad concrete and resurface the Route 65 southbound bridge
- Make safety improvements to the Route 65 southbound bridge
- Make repairs underneath the Route 65 northbound bridge
- Upgrade guardrail on each end of the bridge
- Contractor: Capital Paving & Construction LLC, Columbia
- Completion date: December 1, 2021 (Contractor expects the project to be completed by July)
- Total estimated cost: $1.6 million
