Atlanta Sidewalk Project Set to Begin

MACON – RESCHEDULED - Weather permitting, March 21, crews will begin work on new sidewalks in Atlanta. The project is along Macon County Route M going from Atterberry Street to Orchard Street. This project is being completed as a part of MoDOT’s initiative to bring all MoDOT facilities into compliance with the current standards of the American’s with Disabilities Act (ADA). BRS Construction, LLC, of Edina, Missouri, was awarded the contract on this project in the amount of $170,810.20.

“We are looking forward to completing this project, as we work towards our goal of making our transportation system accessible to everyone,” said MoDOT Area Engineer Brian Untiedt.

Crews will have signs indicating that the work is going on. Please use caution when traveling through the area. There may be times when equipment and personnel are close to the roadway.
