St. Joseph, Mo. – The Lost Creek Bridge on DeKalb County Route A will close soon for a bridge deck replacement project. The Missouri Department of Transportation contracted with Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. to replace the bridge’s deck. This bridge, located north of Maysville, is included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.
Crews plan to close the bridge to all traffic on Monday, March 22, at approximately 8 a.m. The closure is expected to continue through June 2021. Motorists will be directed over a signed detour on Routes W, D and 6.
All work is weather-permitting and schedules are subject to change. Please remember that all work zones are NO PHONE zones. Buckle up. Phone down. Arrive Alive. Motorist are urged to slow down, eliminate distractions, pay attention to all roadway signing and to never drive around barricades.
