Lane and ramp closures scheduled for portions of southbound I-435 March 11

JACKSON COUNTY– MoDOT Kansas City will be conducting signage work along portions of southbound Interstate 435 that will require various lane and ramp closures in the area. The work will be overnight on Thursday, March 11, until approximately Friday morning, March 12. Motorists should expect delays in the area. All work is weather permitting.

Thursday, March 11

  • Crews will close the ramp from southbound I-435 to N Woodland Ave. beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 11 until approximately 6 a.m. on Friday, March 12.
  • Crews will close one lane along southbound I-435 at MO Route 291 as well as the ramp from southbound I-435 to MO Route 291 beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 11 until approximately 6 a.m. on Friday, March 12.

Please be patient and considerate to your fellow motorists. Use the zipper merge and take turns at merge points.  Please remember that all work zones are NO PHONE ZONES. Buckle up. Phone down. Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
