Permit work planned for South Belt Highway this week

St. Joseph, Mo. – Permit work will narrow southbound U.S. Route 169 (Belt Highway) beginning this week. The Missouri Department of Transportation has issued a permit for commercial driveway work at 1414 South Belt Highway. As part of that work, the private contractor will close the right southbound lane of the Belt Highway just south of Route YY (Mitchell Avenue) weekdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Wednesday, March 3 through Monday, March 8.

All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change. Please remember that all work zones are NO PHONE zones. Buckle up. Phone down. Arrive Alive. Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones.
