MO Route Route 6 and Sullivan County Routes D & FF Improvement Projects to Begin in Green Castle

MACON – Weather permitting, Monday, March 8, motorists will see projects begin on Missouri Route 6 and Sullivan County Routes D and FF in Green Castle. Much of the projects will include American with Disabilities Act (ADA) improvements, along with drainage and curb and gutter improvements. In addition, sections of the roadway will receive a 1.75-inch overlay, while other areas will have full depth replacement.

BRS Construction, LLC, of Edina, Missouri, was awarded the contract.

Crews will begin setting signs for the projects to notify motorists of the work. Traffic will be reduced to one lane through the work zones while the projects are completed. The projects are anticipated to be completed by fall.

“We ask that motorists be patient and slow down when traveling through the work zones and follow all work zone signs and personnel,” said MoDOT Area Engineer Michael Marriott. “Please also put down your cell phones to help eliminate distractions. Safety is one of MoDOT’s core values.”
