MACON – The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission recently awarded a contract to E & C Bridge, LLC, of Jamestown, Missouri, for bridge projects in Montgomery County in the amount of $2,353,655.40. The projects are as follows:

Montgomery County Route N – bridge replacement over Interstate 70, located 1.8 miles east of Callalway County Route YY near Mineola.

Montgomery County Route P – bridge replacement over Dry Fork, located 0.7 mile south of Montgomery County Route K near Americus.

Montgomery County Route J – bridge rehabilitation over Clear Creek, located 2.5 miles west of Missouri Route 19 near Big Spring.

These bridges are included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.

These routes will be closed while the bridge work is completed. The work could begin as early as this spring and should be completed before fall.

“A more specific schedule on these projects will be shared after the contractor provides the plan for completing the work,” said MoDOT Area Engineer Erik Maninga.
