Phillipsburg Roadway to Close for Railroad Bridge Repairs

PHILLIPSBURG – Motorists in Phillipsburg will need to find alternate routes next week as repairs are made to a railroad bridge over Route W, north of Interstate 44.

BNSF crews will begin repairing the structure at 8 a.m. on Monday, January 11 and are expected to complete the work by 5 p.m. on Friday, January 15. Route W will be closed to traffic at this location while work takes place.

Message boards will be in place to warn motorists in advance of the closure. MoDOT appreciates the patience of travelers while this work takes place.

The work is weather permitting and could be delayed. For more information about transportation-related matters, please call 1-888-ASK-MoDOT (275-6636) or visit www.modot.org/central. Follow the MoDOT Central Missouri District on Facebook and Twitter for project updates.
