Maries County Bridge Rehabilitation to Begin Next Week

MARIES COUNTY – The Route N bridge over Rogers Creek will be receiving needed updates over the next several months and the Missouri Department of Transportation is advising local residents that the road will be closed beginning next week.

This 53-year-old bridge, located east of Brinktown, has reached a state where rehabilitation is necessary.

Beginning on Monday, December 14, crews will begin replacing the bridge’s deck and girders. Route N at the bridge will be closed to traffic for up to three months while the work takes place.

Motorists will need find alternate routes while the bridge rehabilitation takes place.

The bridge is included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.

This work is weather permitting and could be delayed.
