Traffic Alert: Intermittent lane/ramp closures will occur in Platte and Clay Counties

PLATTE/CLAY COUNTIES – The Missouri Department of Transportation will make the following traffic changes as part of sign upgrade work. All work is weather dependent.

  • Crews will intermittently close the ramp and two lanes of Route 9 at the exit to I-635/69 Highway southbound, beginning at 7:00 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30 until 6:00 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1 for sign work.

  • Crews will intermittently close one lane of northbound I-35, just north of Front St. from 7:00 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30 until 6:00 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1 for sign work

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
