St. Louis Work Zones for November 12-18

Westbound lanes on I-70 Blanchette Bridge scheduled to reopen by Monday, November 16

ST. LOUIS – After eight months of work on the I-70 Blanchette Missouri River Bridge, crews are planning to reopen all lanes in the westbound direction of I-70 by Monday, November 16 at 5 a.m.

Between now and then, crews will be restriping the roadway and removing the median bypass that separated and allowed the eastbound lanes on the westbound bridge. By Monday, November 16, all 5 westbound lanes should be open.  By November 30, all five eastbound lanes will be open to traffic.

Motorists are encouraged to continue using Route 94, Route 370, and Interstate 64 as detour routes. Nightly lane closures will continue into 2021 during off-peak, nighttime hours only on the eastbound bridge.

For motorists traveling through Franklin County, Route AD over Happy Sac Creek will close for approximately 8 days, starting today, November 12, as part of the bridge replacement project.

Crews will be connecting new relocated pavement to connect existing pavement to complete the bridge replacement. Fox Bluff and High Hill drives will retain access through the construction area.

The estimated reopening date for the route is Friday, November 20. All work is weather dependent.

For more on roadway closures due to construction, additional work zone information and real-time roadway weather conditions go to http://traveler.modot.org/map.  For real-time traffic, visit www.gatewayguide.com. All work is subject to change and may be shifted due to inclement weather.
