St. Louis Work Zones for November 5 - 11

ST. LOUIS – Drivers who travel from northbound Interstate 55 to westbound Interstate 44 should consider alternate routes this Saturday. Crews will close the ramp from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, November 7. Previously, the ramp was scheduled to close for one week. That work has been moved to the week of November 16.

Drivers can take northbound I-55 to Truman Pkwy, make a left on Chouteau, take Chouteau to Jefferson back to westbound I-44.

In addition, motorists who regularly use I-270 in north St. Louis County should be aware that crews will close the intersection of Pershall Road and N. Elizabeth Avenue at 6 a.m., Monday, November 9 for three weeks.

The closure will allow the removal of the existing intersection pavement and rebuilding of the intersection with new pavement to connect to the new Washington/N. Elizabeth Avenue bridge over I-270. West Florissant Avenue will serve as the primary detour route. All detours will be signed.

Also, motorists in Franklin County who use I-44 should be aware that crews will close sections of the Interstate beginning Wednesday, November 4 for slide repairs.

The closures will last up to 15 minutes each and will take place on Wednesday, November 4 on Interstate 44. The following closures will take place between noon and 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4:

  • A portion of eastbound I-44 between Gray Summit and Pacific
  • A portion of westbound I-44 between Eureka and Pacific
  • Eastbound on-ramp to I-44 from Pacific
