MoDOT to close eastbound I-70 bridge and on-ramp to Fifth Street Wednesday, October 28

ST. CHARLES COUNTY- The Missouri Department of Transportation will close the eastbound I-70 Blanchette Missouri River Bridge overnight Wednesday, October 28.  

Starting Wednesday, October 28 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Thursday, October 29, the two lanes on the eastbound bridge will be closed. The on-ramp from 5th Street to eastbound 70 will also be closed during this time. 

During this closure, crews will begin preparations to remove the barrier wall and return all lanes to their respective bridges. During the first two weeks of November, similar closures will take place as lanes are returned to their normal configuration. 

More information will the exact dates of the two-week closure will be sent out as the schedule is confirmed.

All eastbound I-70 traffic will use the two lanes on the westbound bridge. Motorists can use Route 94 as a detour route.
