Traffic Alert: Fiber optic cable work will cause multiple lane and ramps closures along I-435

JACKSON COUNTY – Fiber optic cable work will cause the following lane and ramp closures near the I-435 and Grandview Rd. Bridge Overpass in Jackson County. The closures will take place from 8:00 a.m. until 8:15 a.m. (approximately 15 minutes), on Sunday, Oct. 25.

The Kansas City Missouri Police Department will be on scene to assist with traffic control.

Crews will close the ramp from southbound 71 Highway to westbound I-435

Crews will close the ramp from southbound Bannister Rd. to westbound I-435

Crews will close the left lane on southbound I-435 to the split to I-470 and I-49

Crews will close two right lanes on westbound I-470 to the ramp at westbound I-435

Crews will close one lane northbound I-49 and ramp to westbound I-435

Crews will close four left lanes eastbound at Holmes Rd. to eastbound Blue River Bridge 

 

All work is weather dependent.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
