October 20-21 for Pavement Repair
Where: Missouri Route 14 (Mt. Vernon Street) west of Gregg Road in Nixa
When: 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. Tuesday-Wednesday, October 20-21
What: Contractor crews will be repairing the pavement over the newly installed storm sewer pipe on Route 14 (Mt. Vernon Street) as part of the Mount Vernon Street (Route 14) Widening
Traffic Impacts:
- Lanes closed on Route 14 west of Gregg Road
- Drivers should expect delays where lanes are closed
- Drivers urged to find alternate routes. No signed detours are planned.
- Electronic message boards located near the planned road work will alert drivers to any changes in the work schedule
(Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule)
Project Summary:
- Widen Route 14 to five lanes – add a new lane in each direction, creating a five lane roadway with two lanes in each direction with a center-turn lane
- Add turn lanes at Nicholas Road, Truman Road and Tiffany Boulevard
- Install new storm drains with curb and gutter
- Replace traffic signals with new signals to accommodate the new lanes
- Build sidewalks in areas (City of Nixa contributing to the cost of sidewalks)
