Traffic Alert: Fiber optic cable work will cause lane closures on I-435 in Jackson Co

JACKSON COUNTY – Crews will close two lanes of northbound and southbound I-435 between Truman Rd. and 23rd St. from 8:00 a.m. until 8:15 a.m. (approximately 15 minutes) Sunday, Oct. 18 for fiber optic cable work across the interstate. Members of the Kansas City Missouri Police Department will be on scene to help with traffic control.

All work is weather dependent.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
