TRAFFIC ALERT: Expect Nighttime Lane Closures, Delays on Rt 14 in Nixa, Oct. 14 & 15

Where: Missouri Route 14 (Mt. Vernon Street) west of Gregg Road in Nixa

When: 8 p.m.-6 a.m., Wednesday & Thursday, Oct. 14 & 15

What: Contractor crews installing storm sewer pipe under Route 14 (Mt. Vernon Street)

Traffic Impacts:

  • On October 14, eastbound shoulder, eastbound driving lane and center turn lane CLOSED where crews are working
  • Traffic shifted to westbound shoulder and westbound driving lane
  • Once the pipe is installed across the three closed sections, traffic will be shifted to eastbound driving lane and center lane while contractor installs pipe under the westbound shoulder and driving lane
  • On October 15, contractor crews will lay new asphalt, beginning with the eastbound shoulder, driving lane and center turn lane
  • No signed detour
  • Signs and message boards will alert drivers to the work zone
  • Drivers should find alternate route

Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.
