Eastbound U.S. Route 36 to southbound Interstate 229 ramp closure

ST. JOSEPH, Mo – The Buchanan County ramp from eastbound U.S. Route 36 to southbound Interstate 229 will close beginning tomorrow morning for expansion joint repairs. Local maintenance crews from the Missouri Department of Transportation will close the ramp at 9 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 6, through noon on Thursday, Oct. 8. The ramp will remain closed around the clock to ensure the concrete repairs cure completely. During the closure, motorists will need to use an alternate route.

All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change. Please remember that all work zones are NO PHONE zones. Buckle up. Phone down. Arrive Alive. Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention to all roadway signing and to never drive around barricades.
