Route 54 Lane Closure to Begin as Part of New Interchange Project

LAKE OZARK – Westbound U.S. Route 54 traffic will be reduced to a single lane next week as crews begin connecting the on-ramp of the new interchange located at Route W & Osage Hills Road.

The project contractor, working for the Missouri Department of Transportation, will begin building this new on-ramp tie-in near the existing intersection on Monday, October 5. This work will require the closure of the westbound driving lane for up to three weeks.

Signs will guide motorists through the work zone. Speed limits in this area have been reduced for the safety of travelers and workers. Motorists are asked to plan for delays, slow down, avoid distractions and watch for crews in work zones.

This work is weather permitting and could be delayed.
