Holt County Route T now open after slide repair and realignment

FOREST CITY, Mo. – During the horrific flooding across Northwest Missouri in 2019, a slide developed on Route T in Holt County just south of Forest City. At that time, Route T near Mill Bluff Road was closed while the Missouri Department of Transportation conducted an extensive geological investigation and roadway redesign.

Based on the geology, and to avoid expensive repairs if the road remained in its current alignment, a project to shift the road slightly onto a more stable rock base, was awarded to Amino Bros. Co., Inc.. The contractor began work in May 2020 and was able to reopen the realigned roadway to all traffic this afternoon.

Some roadside seeding work still needs to be completed, but after being closed for 16 months, the roadway is once again safe, stable, and open.
