Traffic Alert: Work will cause lane closure on Chouteau Bridge

CLAY/JACKSON COUNTIES – Crews will make the following traffic changes as part of a project to install four-inch steel conduit to the existing structure of the MO Route 269/Chouteau River Bridge. All work is weather dependent.

Crews will close the northbound right thru lane from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. daily, Monday through Saturday, beginning Monday, Sept. 28 and continuing until Saturday, Nov. 14      

Crews will close the east bicycle and pedestrian lane (24/7) beginning Monday, Sept. 28 and continuing until Saturday, Nov. 14                  

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
