Where:
- Southbound Route 65-to-westbound Route 60 ramp in southeast Springfield CLOSED
- Detour: Southbound Route 65 to Evans Road interchange to northbound Route 65 to westbound Route 60
- Westbound Route 60 bridge right and center lanes closed west of Route 65 at the railroad tracks in southeast Springfield
When: 8 p.m. Friday, September 25, until as late as 6 a.m. Monday, September 28
What: Contractor crews cleaning and sealing bridge deck/driving surfaces on U.S. 60 bridge at the railroad tracks west of Route 65. Lane closings on Route 60 will require interchange ramp closings for safety reasons. The work is a preventative maintenance measure aimed at extending the life of the bridge.
Traffic Impacts:
- Southbound Route 65-to-westbound Route 60 ramp CLOSED
- Westbound Route 60 right and center lanes closed
- DELAYS EXPECTED WHERE LANES ARE CLOSED. DRIVERS ARE URGED TO FIND ALTERNATE ROUTES.
- Ramp and Lanes will remain closed ‘round the clock to allow sealing material to cure properly
- Electronic message boards located near the planned road work will alert drivers to any changes in the work schedule
- Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts
