TRAFFIC ALERT: Rt. 160/Lynn Branch bridge CLOSED starting Sept. 21 as part of rehabilitation project

Where: U.S. Route 160 bridge over Lynn Branch arm of Stockton Lake near Greenfield

When: 7 a.m., Monday, September 21, until the end of the project

What: Contractor crews closing the bridge to begin removal of the bridge deck (driving surface) as part of a rehabilitation project

Traffic Impacts:

  • All lanes of Route 160 bridge over Lynn Branch CLOSED
  • Bridge will remain closed through the end of the project
  • Signs and message boards will alert drivers in advance of the closed bridge
  • Drivers will be directed to signed detour using Dade County Route O
  • Drivers should find alternate route

This work is part of a project to rehabilitate two bridges over Stockton Lake at the Lynn Branch and Turnback Creek arms.

Both bridges are included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.

Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.

  • Prime contractor: Hartman & Company Inc., Springfield
  • Total project cost: $2.3 million
  • Contract completion date: December 1, 2020
