What: Missouri Route 76 bridge over Table Rock Lake CLOSED in Cape Fair
When: Until noon today (Tuesday, September 15)
Details: Due to unforeseen issues, the Route 76 bridge will remain CLOSED until noon today, September 15, when it will open to one-lane traffic. School districts, emergency services and first responders have been notified of the extended closure. Contractor crews are using an innovative process to saw the bridge deck in sections, remove the deck and then replace with new concrete sections. The purpose for the innovative process is to keep the Route 76 bridge open during daytime hours. MoDOT and the contractor are reviewing processes and taking additional measures to address these issues prior to the next closure on Wednesday night, September 16. Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated.
Traffic Impacts:
- Missouri Route 76 bridge over Table Rock Lake CLOSED in Cape Fair
- Business entrances and streets will remain open on either side of the closure
- Signed detour: Missouri Route 173, Missouri Route 248 and Missouri Route 413
- Drivers urged to find alternate routes
- Electronic message boards located near the planned road work will alert drivers to any changes in the work scheduled
