Carroll County bridge replacement project to begin Monday

TINA, Mo. – The bridge over Tater Hill Creek on Carroll County Route Z will be replaced beginning next week. The Missouri Department of Transportation contracted with E & C Bridge LLC to replace the structurally deficient 86-year old bridge. This bridge is included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.

Crews plan to close the bridge to all traffic on Monday, Sept. 21 and have the new bridge in place with traffic restored by mid-December. Drivers must use an alternate route during the closure.

Please note, this closure is in addition to the road closure on Route Z, just south of Route C, due to a roadway slide.

All work is weather-permitting and schedules are subject to change. Please remember that all work zones are NO PHONE zones. Buckle up. Phone down. Arrive Alive. Motorist are urged to slow down, eliminate distractions, pay attention to all roadway signing and to never drive around barricades.
