Traffic alert: Lane Closings, Traffic Delays on Range Line Road/KCS RR Bridge in Joplin Sept. 21-25

Where: Range Line Road (Loop 49) bridge over Kansas City Southern Railroad north of 32nd Street (Route FF) in Joplin

When: 8 p.m.-6 a.m., Monday-Friday, Sept. 21-25

Why: Contractor crews will be taking rock and soil samples in advance of a project to replace the Range Line Road bridge over the Kansas City Southern Railroad.

This bridge is included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.

Traffic Impacts:

  • One lane of the Range Line Road (Loop 49) bridge will be CLOSED at night where crews are set up working
  • All lanes of Range Line Road will be OPEN during daytime hours
  • Drivers urged to find alternate routes, no signed detours are planned
