PLATTE COUNTY – Crews have closed all lanes of southbound NW Prairie View Rd. at 64th St. (Route 45), which is just west of Interstate 29 until further notice as part of a road improvement project.
This is all part of a KCMO road realignment project, which includes the addition of a new roundabout, connecting to N. Chatham Ave., additional street lights, new sidewalks, water main relocation, and traffic signal adjustments.
The goal of the project is to reduce congestion, improve traffic flow, improve safety and improve roadway connectivity.
This project is expected to be completed by late spring of 2021. For more information, click on the link provided. https://bit.ly/32dfuYG
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
