Postponed: Buchanan County U.S. Route 36 ramp closure

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Due to inclement weather, local crews from the Missouri Department of Transportation postponed the closure of the westbound U.S. Route 36 to southbound Route 759 (Stockyards Expressway) ramp scheduled for this morning. Crews now plan to close the ramp on Tuesday, Sept. 15, between 9 a.m. and noon, in order to replace the crash barrels.

All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change. Should they get rained out, crews will plan to complete the work Wednesday, Sept. 16, during the same timeframe.

Motorist are urged to stay alert and pay attention to all roadway signing and barricades and to eliminate distractions. Crews will be working close to traffic. Please remember that all work zones are NO PHONE zones. Buckle up. Phone down. Arrive Alive.
