ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Local crews from the Missouri Department of Transportation plan to close a U.S. Route 36 ramp next week for safety repairs. Crews will close the ramp from westbound U.S. Route 36 to southbound Route 759 (Stockyards Expressway) for approximately three hours on Wednesday, Sept. 9, between 9 a.m. and noon, in order to replace the crash barrels.
All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change. Should they get rained out, crews will plan to complete the work Thursday, Sept. 10, during the same timeframe.
Motorist are urged to stay alert and pay attention to all roadway signing and barricades and to eliminate distractions. Crews will be working close to traffic. Please remember that all work zones are NO PHONE zones. Buckle up. Phone down. Arrive Alive.
