MACON – Weather permitting, Monday, Sept. 21, motorists will begin to see a resurfacing project start on Missouri Route 94 in Warren and Montgomery Counties. The project will go from Missouri Route 19 to Missouri Route 47 near Marthasville, for a length of 26 miles. It will include a one-inch overlay of asphalt.
Pace Construction, of West Plains, Missouri, was awarded the contract in the amount of $1,742,000. They have 60 calendar days to complete the project.
Crews will begin setting signs for the project the week of Aug. 24. Traffic will be reduced to one lane through the work zone while the work is completed, and a pilot car will be used for traffic control through the work zone.
“We ask that motorists be patient and slow down when traveling through the work zone and follow all work zone signs and personnel,” said MoDOT Area Engineer Erik Maninga. “Please also put down your cell phones to help eliminate distractions. Safety is a number one priority while this project is completed.”
