NW Platte Drive Project Extended

PLATTE COUNTY – Due to inclement weather and the delay of utility work, the Missouri Department of Transportation has extended road improvement work at NW Platte Drive in Platte County.

Work will be extended until Friday, Sept. 4. Originally, work was scheduled to be completed Wednesday, Aug. 5.

Crews will close all lanes of NW Platte Drive between Green Hills Road and 9 Highway for installation of a new culvert at Mattox Rd. Motorists will have to travel north on Green Hills Rd., then south on Northwood Rd. to get back on 9 Highway. All work is weather dependent.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
