MACON - Weather permitting, Aug. 3-6 and Aug. 10-13, MoDOT crews will be performing bridge maintenance on U.S. Route 36 westbound in Macon County. The road will be reduced to one lane traffic at the Middle Fork Salt River Bridge, located between Macon County Route K and Lariat Avenue. The speed limit will be reduced to 55 mph and there will be an 11 ft. width restriction in place while the lane is closed. The lane closure will begin at 7:00 a.m. on Aug. 3 and will reopen at 4:00 p.m. on Aug. 6. The lane will close again at 7:00 a.m. on Aug. 10 and reopen at 4:00 p.m. on Aug. 13.
Motorists need to use caution if they will be traveling in this area. Remember to obey all work zone signs and personnel, and put down your cell phone to help eliminate distractions.
