Nighttime resurfacing project set to begin on Route 9 in Platte County

PLATTE COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation is set to begin an extensive resurfacing project on Route 9 in Platte County. MoDOT KC will make the following traffic changes as part of the project.

Crews will close various lanes of northbound and southbound Route 9 between NW Lakeview Drive and Route FF from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. nightly, beginning Monday, Aug. 3 and continuing through Friday, Aug. 28. A flagger operation will be utilized to assist motorists through the work zone. All work is weather dependent.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
